In it's first two weeks Last Stand Wrestling promised high waulity shows for the fans who came to the arena and those who choose to switch on their tv's and tuned in at home. Brandon Matthews and the boys have not failed to deliver in that respect and with promises of more to come, people are almost being drawn into believe him about the highest that the company could one day reach. That could be a long way off for now, but things start to get serious this week on Defiance. The Hardcore Title was brought into action this past week as Rick Fitzpatrick picked up a win in the final seconds of the match to become the first LSW Hardcore Champion. That signalled the start of a gold rush in the company as right at the end of the night Xavier Hughes came out to announce the competition to decide the first Prodigy Champion and if that was not enough it was quickly followed the arrival on the video wall of Brandon Matthews who, in turn, gave a few details on the World Title. Both roads to the World and Prodigy Title start tonight...finishing up at Unleashed!

Slap Your Momma...It's LSW!!!
A flurry of silver, white and red pyro's fly from the stage, ramp and ring posts as "Sound of Madness" by Shinedown begins to blast out through the PA System of the Wells Fargo Arena, Tempe in Arizona. The fans are packed into the arena, every possible seat having someone sat in it. The noise made by them is equally impressive. Despite being a sell-out at just over 14,000...they make the cheers of a group a lot larger. The camera's in the arena begins their trademark panning of the arena as the fans continue to jump on their feet in time with the music. As the cameras fly past the fans reach out their arms and wave their homemade banners.
"Let Me Stroke Your Ravyn"
"My Grans More EXTREME Than JOHNNY!"
"Diamond loves Doughnuts"
The fans, clearly estatic at getting their banners on television continue their roars. The camera finally settles on the video wall for a moment where the LSW Defiance video has been playing since "Sound of Madness" first began to ring around the arena. Finally, with the fans still in high spirits, the music and video come to and end, the camera focusing on the commentary desk of Eric Raper and Michael Barclay.
Michael Barclay: Last Stand Wrestling is back Live and what a night of action we have lined up for you.
Eric Raper: Yeah baby, I'm more excited than a paedo in paediatrics at bathtime.
Michael Barclay: Eric, have a bit of taste for the love of God.
Eric Raper: Calm down old man, it's past the water shed.
Michael Barclay: That doesn't mean everyone loses all sense of morality like you obviously seem to.
Eric Raper: Get on with your usual introductions.
Michael Barclay: For the sake of this not desending into anarchy I will...tonight see's the start of the Prodigy Title Chase with a 6 pack match. Dean Hobkirk, Sam Manson, Cobra, Assassin, Sophie Lucas and Axl Dempsey will all enter the contest that will last until Unleashed.
Eric Raper: That is one heck of a long match.
Michael Barclay: The match will finish tonight of course, but the loser will be elimiated leaving 5 men to face another bout next week.
Eric Raper: It was a joke, idiot.
Michael Barclay: I was explaining for the people at home.
Eric Raper: Once again I was joking, come on old man - keep up.
Michael Barclay: The main event this evening will also see the start of the battle to gain the honour of being the first Last Stand Wrestling World Heavyweight Title.
Eric Raper: Vincent Demichelis brings with him some good reviews and looks kean to do well in LSW, he gets his first chance to show us what he can do in the ring tonight.
Michael Barclay: He will take on Matthew Triggs, the winner of last weeks main event, with the winner of tonights match going onto Unleashed as one quarter of the fatal fourway that will crown the first World Champion.
Eric Raper: And we have a hardcore match as well.
Michael Barclay: That is true, Rick Fitzpatrick will do battle with Gabriel in a hardcore battle where his title is not on the line?
Eric Raper: How can you have a 24/7 rule and not have the title on the line?
Michael Barclay: I guess the match ref is not there for the title, but if there were another ref then he could make a count on that?
Eric Raper: But we only have one ref.
Michael Barclay: That is very true, and he was looking just a little bit tired after last weeks show. Maybe Brandon should think about getting some more people in.
Eric Raper: Brandon will do what is needed when it is needed.
Michael Barclay: I'm sure he will, I'm just stating that Roger Humphries may not be in the best on conditions for having to call every match here in LSW.
Eric Raper: He was not the only one looking worse for wear last week though, Axl Dempsey didn't look to clever when he left the arena.
Michael Barclay: That may have been something to do with the fact he left in an ambulance after the baseball bat to the head that won Rick Fitzpatrick his Hardcore Title.
Eric Raper: Axl was sure he had the title, as was I, but Fitz smashed him so hard I expect to see his minus his teeth this evening.
Michael Barclay: We can find out now as I am told Axl Dempsey is currently backstage with the medical team as they are accessing whether to allow him to compete or not this evening.
Eric Raper: Ah...is Axl trying to get out of doing his job.
Michael Barclay: I think it is somewhat the other way around.
The cameras cut to the medical area of the backstage where Axl Dempsey is sat surrounded by a number of doctors and medical staff. Dempsey is clearly heated as bits of paper and notes are passed around between the doctors. One doctor stands in front of Dempsey, shining a light into his eyes before turning to write something on his notepad.
Axl Dempsey: As I said before, I'm fine. Now sign the damn papers and let me get on with getting ready.
There is a moment of quite as a few murmurs pass between the consulting doctors. They are almost in a huddle before they break to have the one who checked his eyes step forward.
Dr. Rangiv Singh: I'm a very sorry Sir, but I cannot give you my permission to enter the ring tonight.
Axl Dempsey: You fukcing kidding me? It was a knock on the head a week ago.
Dr. Rangiv Singh: That maybe so, but I am not satisfied that you are in a fit state to compete.
Axl Dempsey: Listen here mate, there is nothing you can say that is going to stop me from putting myself in that match tonight. I was booked and I am going to go out there and give everything I have for these fans. You going to try and stop me?
Axl Dempsey stands up from his seat, almost squaring up to Dr Singh in the process.
Dr. Rangiv Singh: Look, if you want to fight then it can be on your own head. Sign these and my coincious is clear.
Dr Singh turns to hand Axl Dempsey a set of liability paper, which Axl quickly signs to mean that if he suffers injury as results of going against his medical advise then Dr Singh would be free from guilt.
Axl Dempsey: So I can wrestle now?
Dr. Rangiv Singh: Be my guess, but be careful. Without your test results being back, another heavy blow to the head could be deadly.
Axl Dempsey pushes past the doctors as Dr Singh is still talking as he walks off down the corridor. It is clear that he is not completely himself as he stumbles slightly walking, but is quick to recover and disappears around the corner before the cameras fade back to ringside.
Michael Barclay: Axl Dempsey getting rather heated with the medical team there.
Eric Raper: So would I, they think they can just tell someone when they can and can't wrestle?
Michael Barclay: They are doing it for the sake of his own health.
Eric Raper: What use is that if you have no money? And wrestling brings in the money.
Michael Barclay: We will have to wait and see if it was a wise move on his behalf in his match later this evening, but we are going to get things rolling this evening with our first match.
Eric Raper: We should start every week with a hardcore match. It gets the blood pumping.
Michael Barclay: It certainly worked for the fans last week, let's see the if the man who won that contest can cause the same stir tonight.
MATCH ONE
Rick Fitzpatrick Vs. Gabriel
Singles Match
Hardcore Rules
Denika Andersen: The following event is scheduled for one fall, and it is a non title, hardcore match. Introducing first from Miami Florida, weighing in at 245 pounds, he is The Arch Angel- Gabriel.
The lights go dim, and the stage is flooded with a dark blue as “Remember the name” hits the PA system. Gabriel emerges through the back in a long leather coat, stopping at the ramp and kisses his two fingers, touches his head, his heart, and then points his index finger to the sky. Gabriel acknowledges the fans as he makes his way slowly down the ramp, and roles in the ring. Gabriel bounces off the ropes a few times before handing his leather coat the ref, and stands, waiting for his opponent.
Michael Barclay: You have to believe that even with as skilled as Gabriel is in the ring, he’s going to have a tough time in these hardcore rules against the Hardcore Champion.
Eric Raper: Ya think?
Denika Andersen: And his opponent, weighing in at 260 pounds, he is the Hardcore Champion, Rick Fitzpatrick!!
The guitars let rip joined by the beating of the drums on the P.A system, with this follows the cheers that usually do so. At the top of the entrance ramp appears a slightly unstable but extremely aggressive Rick Fitzpatrick holding up his Hardcore Title and filled to the brim with a variety of alcohol. He takes his trademark cigarette form his pocket lighting it and inhaling long and hard as if it contains necessary oxygen. He stagers down the ramp towards the ring taking time to greet his loyal fans that follow him all over the country and have for many years now, giving them a high-five or even some alcohol or whatever he has on him at the time. Rick rolls into the ring, and gets right in Gabriel’s face, holding the Hardcore title right in front of him, taunting him. Gabriel points to the belt and smiles before pointing back to himself.
Michael Barclay: There is no love lost between these two.
Fitzpatrick hands his belt down the time keepers as he waits in his corner for the bell to ring..
Ding, Ding Ding.
The bell rings and Fitzpatrick goes to try and grab a hold of Gabriel. But Gabriel dodges the grapple and sends a few shots to Fitzpatrick’s face. Pushing Fitzpatrick into the corner, Gabriel goes back, looking for a big clothesline. But Fitzpatrick moves out of it, and pins Gabriel into the corner. Pushing Gabriel, Fitzpatrick sends down a rain of over head chops to Gabriel’s chest. Fitzpatrick grabs a hold of Gabriel and whips him into the opposite corner, and starts running towards him, but Gabriel bounces out of the corner, hitting Fitzpatrick with a big clothesline. Fitzpatrick makes his way up only to be kicked in the gut and given a snap suplex.
Michael Barclay: Look at these two going at it. Their styles really are missed matched and I have a feeling that this will make for an interesting match.
Eric Raper: Gabriel has even admitted that he is not a hardcore wrestler, which bags the question why the hell he’s in the ring with a man like Fitzpatrick, the Hardcore Champion in a hardcore match.
Both Fitzpatrick and Gabriel are now on their feet as Gabriel is looking for a hard shot to the face of Fitzpatrick. But Fitzpatrick blocks it, sending a hard shot to Gabriel’s face and then hitting him with a snapmare. Gabriel is in a seated position and Fitzpatrick grabs him from behinds, getting him in a reverse choke hold. But Gabriel gets to the ropes quickly, and tries to go for the break. The ref reminds Gabriel that hardcore rules mean there are no rope breaks as Fitzpatrick keeps the hold locked in tighter.
Eric Raper: See what I mean, Gabriel is not supposed to be hardcore.
Gabriel now starts to swing wild elbows to try and break the hold. Figuring he can’t do anything, Gabriel dives through the middle rope, taking both him and Fitzpatrick with him, crashing to the outside. The hold is finally broken as both men make their way up. Fitzpatrick throws a hard right hand, but Gabriel blocks it and sends a hard right hand of his own. Fitzpatrick tries to throw another one but Gabriel catches this one to and then whips Fitzpatrick into the steel steps.
Michael Barclay: And now the hardcore action begins.
Gabriel looks under the ring and comes up with a trash can that he throws into the ring, a kendo stick, a metal chair and an old ring bell. Gabriel takes the kendo stick and swings it into the chest of Fitzpatrick, causing him to double over. Gabriel then hits him with a swinging neck breaker, taking them both down to the ground on the thin mats. The move looks to have taken a lot out of both men as they both get up as the same time. Gabriel grabs Fitzpatrick by the head and smashes it on the metal guard rail that separates the action from the fans. But instead of lifting his head back up to smash it again, Gabriel puts all his weight down on the back of Fitzpatrick’s neck, and starts to choke him on the guard rail. Fitzpatrick battles out though, sending a big elbow to Gabriel followed but a Russian leg sweep to the ground.
Eric Raper: I’ll tell you these fans are getting a treat her tonight. This is only the first match and we’ve already seen more action than WWE can put out in an hour.
Michael Barclay: Careful there, we don’t want to feel the mighty wrath of McMahon lawyers.
Fitzpatrick grabs a hold of Gabriel and rolls him back into the ring before rolling back into the ring himself. Gabriel and Fitzpatrick Scurry to get up, and Fitzpatrick grabs a hold of him and captures him in a suplex position. But Gabriel lifts up; looking to throw Fitzpatrick off him with a back body drop, but Fitzpatrick uses his momentum to swing Gabriel back, taking him down with a huge DDT. Gabriel finds his way up, only to be hit in the gut with a kendo stick, and then bounces off the ropes and driving his knee right into the face of Gabriel.
Eric Raper: That’s why he’s the hardcore champion.
Michael Barclay: Well Gabriel is holding his own. These two are evenly matched.
Gabriel makes his way up, holding his face as he grabs a hold of Gabriel, and whips him into the ropes. Gabriel comes back, but hits Rick Fitzpatrick with a shoulder block. Fitzpatrick pulls himself up, and Gabriel quickly hits him in the face with the trash can. He then follows up by grappling Fitzpatrick into a belly to belly suplex. Gabriel gets Fitzpatrick up, sending a few over head shots to Fitzpatrick’s face. Gabriel gets Fitzpatrick into the corner and sends a few knee’s to his gut, and then sets Fitzpatrick up in a tree of Whoa. Gabriel takes a hold of a chair, and lays it right next to Fitzpatrick‘s face as he backs up and then takes off running and hits the baseball slide, driving the chair right into Fitzpatrick’s face. The blow dropping him down to the ground. Gabriel grabs Fitzpatrick and goes for the pin.
...One!
...Two!
...Thr...
Fitzpatrick barely gets his shoulder up before the three count.
Michael Barclay: Look at Fitzpatrick’s face now, blood is oozing out of that huge gash over his forehead.
Fitzpatrick holds his face as Gabriel pulls him up and hits him with a stiff piledriver. Gabriel sees that Fitzpatrick is down, and he puts a trash can lid on top of Fitzpatrick and then starts to climb up on the top rope. Once there Gabriel takes off with a elbow drop. But Fitzpatrick moves out of the way, and Gabriel hits nothing but the mat and the trash can lid. Gabriel holds his elbow. Fitzpatrick makes his way up, taking advantage of Gabriel by grabbing a hold of his arm and getting Gabriel in an arm bar. Gabriel squirms around, trying to some how break the hold. But Fitzpatrick pulls him back into the middle of the ring, tightening the hold.
Michael Barclay: In a match like this a submission as just good as a pin.
Gabriel tries to fight out of the arm bar, trying to pull his arm up. But Fitzpatrick keeps the hold on, and Gabriel rolls up and sends a hard shot to Fitzpatrick’s face. But Fitzpatrick keeps the hold strong, and Gabriel grabs a hold of the ring bell and smashes it across Fitzpatrick’s face. Gabriel rolls up to his feet and Fitzpatrick is up to, as the both of them try to lock up with each other. But Gabriel is quicker and is the one who gets the advantage as he rolls around to Fitzpatrick’s back, hitting him with a pinning German Suplex.
...One!
...Two!
...Thre...
Michael Barclay: And how close was that.
Eric Raper: About as close as you can get without getting the win.
Gabriel looks pissed off as he picks up Fitzpatrick and hits him with a shot to the gut. Fitzpatrick doubles over and Gabriel sends a hard elbow to his back. Fitzpatrick is now on one knee as Gabriel picks him up for a gut wrench powerbomb in the middle of the ring. Fitzpatrick is on his back and Gabriel kicks him hard in the face causing Fitzpatrick to roll over on his hands and knees, struggling to get up. Gabriel rolls out of the ring and grabs the Hardcore title from the time keeper. Gabriel rolls back into the ring and Fitzpatrick is just starting to make is way up when Gabriel dives at him with the title in hand and nocks the Hardcore champ down and out. Gabriel goes for the pin.
...One!
...Two!
...Three!!!
Denika Andersen: Here is your winner by pin fall, Gabriel.
WINNER: Gabriel
Michael Barclay: Well that was a great way to start of Defiance and Gabriel gets the nod, winning this hardcore match.
Eric Raper: But it wasn’t for the title.
Gabriel picks himself up before a cheering crowd. He looks down at the damage that he’s caused to Fitzpatrick and he runs his thumb across his throat.
Michael Barclay: What the hell is he doing?
Eric Raper: Don’t you get it you idiot, this match was a non title match for the hardcore title. But the match is over now so the 24/7 rule is now in effect.
Michael Barclay: So he could win the Hardcore title.
Eric Raper: Bingo dumb ass.
Gabriel picks up Fitzpatrick and hits him with the Fall of Grace right on top of the Hardcore title! But Gabriel doesn’t go for the pin, instead he just hovers over Fitzpatrick looking down at him. Gabriel rolls out of the ring, and heads up the ramp.
Eric Raper: What is that idiot doing? He had the hardcore title won!
Michael Barclay: Your guess is as good as mine.
Eric Raper: There are just something I don't understand.
Michael Barclay: I think there are a lot of things you don't understand.
Eric Raper: I get two things that you don't.
Michael Barclay: And what would they be?
Eric Raper: Respect and pussy!
Michael Barclay: Grow up a bit Eric.
The cameras cut fromt he ringside area where Raper is taunting Barclay to the backstage where we find Kerin Atcher waiting impatiently by an interview set for somebody who’s obviously late showing up by the amount of attitude the young rookie interviewer is giving off. She checks her watch again before tapping her fingers against the large LCD monitor behind her before finally throwing her arms up in the air angrily and storming off. The camera follows her as she storms down the hallway toward the offices, finally reaching the office of the Last Stand Wrestling owner Brandon Matthews and raising her hand to bang on the door angrily before stopping and putting her ear to the door, then turning to the camera in frustration.
Kerin Atcher: I wait twenty five minutes for the guy to do an interview about the World title qualifier next week and he’s in his fucking office getting laid? Son of a bitch!
She bangs angrily on the door and we hear something fall to the ground and break as inside obviously there’s been a panic caused by the interruption. When the response comes it’s muffled by the door but even despite that it’s clearly Brandon Matthews and he seems out of breath.
Brandon Matthews: Just a minute...
Kerin Atcher: Brandon? It’s Kerin, you wanted to do an interview about next week’s World title qualifier?
Brandon Matthews: Oh shit, Kerin? Yeah, um... something came up and I got distracted.
Kerin Atcher: Yeah, something “came up” alright!
There’s more commotion inside the office before the door finally opens a crack and Brandon Matthews is standing there with his shirt done up but no tie or jacket, and his pants looking somewhat askew as though he’s gotten dressed again in a hurry.
Kerin Atcher: You ready to do the interview now?
Brandon Matthews: Um, actually there’s been a change of plans about the World title qualifier.
Kerin Atcher: What do you mean a change of plans?
Brandon Matthews: Well as you know I was going to reward the Johnny Extreme with an opportunity to qualify for the World title due to his performance last week in the main event, even if he didn’t win, but... err... I’ve had to change that plan.
Kerin looks a little confused and tries to get a look inside the office, pushing the door a little but Brandon moves his foot to stop the door from opening anymore and just smiles awkwardly at the rookie reporter.
Kerin Atcher: What do you mean you’ve had to change it? What’s happened? Is Johnny ok?
Brandon Matthews: Yeah, as far as I know Johnny Extreme is just fine, I just didn’t think he was really the right direction to go in terms of championship qualification.
Kerin Atcher: But you told me earlier that you wanted the most experienced competitors in the qualifying matches, you said that you wanted only the absolute best to compete for the World title and really put the championship on the map as a legitimate World Heavyweight title.
Matthews nods slowly...
Brandon Matthews: Yeah, right. That’s what I said.
Kerin Atcher: So you’ve got somebody even more qualified for the match?
Brandon Matthews: Not exactly...
Kerin Atcher: What’s going on Brandon? Who’s in your office...?
She tries to push the door open once again but Brandon blocks it again. Growing increasingly frustrated Kerin takes the initiative, pushing the LSW owner back and forcing her way inside the office and stopping dead in disbelief. The camera slowly follows her inside, revealing first of all a load of paperwork that presumably was on the desk of the LSW owner earlier today now littered all across the floor while the desk has barely anything on it at all. The camera continues panning revealing more of the room, which includes Brandon’s chair that’s been knocked over and a sofa at the far side of the room which seems to be the focus of the disbelieving look on Kerin’s face because sitting on the sofa, wearing just an LSW t-shirt that she seems to have pulled on at the last minute, sits Ravyn Taylor with a huge grin on her face. She wipes her mouth before looking up at Kerin curiously.
Ravyn Taylor: Can we help you at all?
Kerin Atcher: What are you doing in here?
Brandon steps in front of the camera to block its view of the young woman and pushes the camera to a different angle, which reveals a potted plant in the other corner of the room from which hangs a pair of lacy red panties and, a few feet from the plant, a matching bra.
Brandon Matthews: Ravyn is here because we were discussing her future and I was, um, giving her some help with her in-ring skills.
Kerin Atcher: And she needs to be naked for you to do this?
Brandon Matthews: She’s not naked.
Ravyn Taylor: Well, not now. He made me put on a t-shirt when you knocked. You sure know how to ruin a good time.
He puts a finger to his mouth and glares at her angrily, telling her to hush and she just continues smiling.
Kerin Atcher: This is why you missed the interview?
Ravyn Taylor: You had an interview to go to? You didn’t tell me that Brandon, I could have set up a nice surprise for you when you got back.
Brandon smiles awkwardly.
Kerin Atcher: So, this is the reason you’re changing the match next week?
Brandon Matthews: Um, no. I’ve just decided after careful review that considering she’s currently undefeated in her wrestling career that Miss Taylor has more than earned the opportunity to prove herself next week in a qualifying match for the World title at LSW’s “Unleashed” pay per view event.
Kerin Atcher: And she “earned” this chance how exactly? On her back?
Ravyn looks genuinely insulted.
Ravyn Taylor: On my back? What are you trying to say, you think I’m that kind of girl? Please... I was bent over the desk.
Brandon glares at her again.
Brandon Matthews: Would you stop talking? I’ve got this...
Ravyn Taylor: Sure you have Brand, sure you have. Hmm, you know what? This has totally killed the mood, I’m going home.
She jumps up off the sofa and walks over to the plant to pick up her underwear, then walks off camera behind the door and picks up a black dress before smiling at Kerin and the camera happily, then looking at Brandon somewhat concerned.
Ravyn Taylor: I didn’t get any in my hair, right?
Brandon Matthews: Your hair’s fine...
Ravyn Taylor: Good because wow... THAT could be embarrassing, right? Tee-tee-eff-en babe!
She blows a little kiss to Brandon before wandering out of the office with a huge grin on her face. Brandon turns to Kerin again and clears his throat, looking somewhat embarrassed as Kerin shakes her head in disappointment.
Kerin Atcher: What happened to your big talk about the World title and people really earning their opportunities?
Brandon Matthews: She has earned it; she’s won two matches in a row! That’s incredible for a rookie. Besides this isn’t up for debate, Ravyn’s in end of story! You want anything else or can I get back to work?
Kerin Atcher: Oh yeah, get back to “work”; I wouldn’t want to waste any of your valuable time!
Kerin storms off as Brandon closes the door. The camera pans to find Ravyn down the hallway, who’s just slipping back in to her dress again, with a huge grin on her face as she tosses the t-shirt she was wearing before at the camera.
Ravyn Taylor: That was fun. See you guys next week!
She waves coyly at the camera before skipping away happily as we cut back to ringside.
Michael Barclay: Well, we know at least one half of the main event next week now I guess.
Eric Raper: That is so not fair; you think there’s something I’ve got that she might be interested in? Maybe I could arrange for her to get a shot at the Hardcore title!
Michael Barclay: I highly doubt you have anything she wants. Maybe she has slept her way into a match, but how can that help her in the match she now faces next week?
Eric Raper: She will find a way. She always seems to.
Michael Barclay: You have to wonder what Johnny Extreme will make of it though as he has been removed from the World Title hunt, at least for now, to be replaced by Ravyn Taylor.
Eric Raper: I doubt he will be too pretty, but he can't be angry with Ravyn...she's far too pretty.
Michael Barclay: I think it will be more Brandon he will want words with.
Eric Raper: Yeah, well I got my boy Brandon's back.
Michael Barclay: I'm sure you have, but you can sit safe for now as Johnny Extreme has other things on his mind as he faces Jay Cool next.
Eric Raper: He is lucky, otherwise I would have really messed him up.
Michael Barclay: I'm sure you would have.
Eric Raper: Let's just get to the match.
Michael Barclay: Wait a second; I’m getting word something bad is going down backstage.
Eric Raper: Something bad? That doesn’t sound good...
We cut backstage where members of the technical staff are running around in a panic and the camera is desperately trying to make its way down the corridor to find out where they’re all rushing too. We get held up by two people from the technical staff blocking the way right before EMT’s rush past the camera shot and disappear down the hallway. Seconds later Kerin Atcher appears in front of the camera looking as though she’s had to run from somewhere else to get here to do the story.
Kerin Atcher: Are we ready?
The guy behind the camera obviously tells her they’re already rolling and she curses under her breath.
Kerin Atcher: I’m backstage where all hell has broken loose in the last few minutes but nobody will tell us what’s going on! I’m going to try to find out...
She turns and pushes her way past the technical staff and the crowd of people gathered around and stops as she spots two bodies laid out in the backstage area, blood staining the floor as well as a metal pipe that lays randomly nearby.
Kerin Atcher: Oh my god, Johnny Extreme and Jay Cool have both been laid out! Does anybody know what happened? Did anybody see anything?
The camera pans around to reveal everybody just shaking their heads.
Kerin Atcher: Oh c’mon, somebody must have seen SOMETHING! How do two people get attacked in an arena as packed as this one and nobody notice anything? Were you all smoking dope or something?!
All the gathered people just continue shaking their heads as EMTs continue to check on the wounded two LSW employees.
Kerin Atcher: Well there’s your story guys, the two competitors in tonight’s singles match have both been laid out in the back, we have no idea by whom and apparently nobody saw anything! I’ll give you more as soon as I know something...
The cameras cut back to ringside where the announcers look at one another in shock.
Michael Barclay: This is only our third show and this is the first time anything like this has happened, I’m not sure the staff backstage even know what to do. Luckily there are EMTs on the scene but did you see the blood? Something’s not right.
Eric Raper: This is a disgrace! A DISGRACE! Who did this? How can nobody have seen anything? Somebody knows something back there, I DEMAND ANSWERS! I was looking forward to that match.
Michael Barclay: Well I’ve yet to get official confirmation from any of the LSW management staff that the match ISN’T taking place, but right now it doesn’t look too good.
Eric Raper: So we lose a big money match this week because some guy decided to jump these two competitors from behind and lay them out without even bothering to reveal who he is? Why couldn’t he do it AFTER the match? This is a damn disgrace, we should sue!
Michael Barclay: Who do we sue?! We don’t even know who did it...
Eric Raper: Kerin will find out, and when she does... I’m telling you, if I were Brandon Matthews somebody would get fired for this!
The video wall sudden comes to life rolls and the famous singer/artist that is Mark Wills is sat there strumming his guitar. In fact, it’s precisely the same opening to his biggest hit “ Don’t Laugh At Me ”. Now don’t pretend that you haven’t heard the song, and sang it in front of the mirror. Don’t pretend that you’ve never seen that episode of Sally Jesse Ralph where those dwarf kids got to do a duet with Mark. Yeah. Well anyway, it’s the similar start to the video with kids playing on swings, a girl blowing bubbles and laughter and playfulness. All that good stuff. The video has slightly been modified, however.
I'm a little boy with glasses
The one they call the geek
A little girl who never smiles
'Cause I've got braces on my teeth
And I know how it feels
To cry myself to sleep
The clip shows new LSW recruit Nijt Landzaat whaling in a bed. Although, it’s not Landzaat to be accurate (or is it?) but rather a miniature version of him, which can be distinguished.
I'm that kid on every playground
Who's always chosen last
A single teenage mother
Tryin' to overcome my past
You don't have to be my friend
But is it too much to ask
The next clip exchanges with the country beat minimizing in volume.
“ Can me want me play. ” A young Landzaat says, still very broad in size and mentally inept in the brain cell capacity.
Back on the playground where schoolboy fights were just normality like a game of hopscotch, a gang of young boys gather around The Freak’s Freak.
“ Haha, guys.. I think the retard wants to play ball.” Says a kid, obviously the ringleader.
All eyes are focused on the outcast that is Nijs Landzaat.
“ How do we feel about this boys? ”
The young school children gain closer to Nijs in a circle. They begin to push, shove and tease the Dutch eccentric.
“ Gay. ”
Pushed left.
“ Weirdo. ”
Pushed right.
“ FREAK! ”
Pushed left/right.
The volume of Mark Wills’ voice increases.
Don't laugh at me
Don't call me names
Don't get your pleasure from my pain
In God's eyes we're all the same
Someday we'll all have perfect wings
Don't laugh at me.
Yet, only to decrease once more.
The next visual is of the same Nijs Landzaat infantile, back in his bedroom again. And this time he stands by a bird cage. He then wastes no time in opening the cage and handling the budgie out of its cage. He begins to stroke the bird continuously. With a cheerful laugh here and there.
The tone then gets louder, even louder than before.
I'm fat, I'm thin, I'm short, I'm tall
I'm deaf, I'm blind, hey, aren't we all
Don't laugh at me
Then with our final clip it features the agent of Nijs Landzaat (Daniel Singh) standing in darkness. Previously departing from sunlight and contentment, Daniel Singh does nothing more than the opposite. He stands there.... Laughing.
Eric Raper: What the hell was that about?
Michael Barclay: Landzaat is another new comer here in LSW who will make his debut next week.
Eric Raper: It could have been him who attacked Extreme and Cool. Strange he should show up just after.
Michael Barclay: I hardly think we are any place to comment on what happened. We were no where near.
Eric Raper: Still, I think it was him.
The fans cheer as “Are you Ready” By Creed begins playing over the P.A. system.
Denika Andersen: Introducing, from Calgary Alberta, Canada, weighing in at two hundred pounds... “The Ace of Deception” SAM MANSON!!!
The fans’ cheers grow louder as Sam Manson emerges from behind the curtain at the top of the entrance ramp; he is prepared to wrestle as he is dressed in full ring attire which consists of red and gold wrestling tights, black kneepads and black wrestling boots. He has his trademark suit jacket on as well as he makes his way down the ramp slapping hands with every fan he can. Once he reaches the ring, he climbs up onto the ring apron and requests the microphone from Denika Anderson, she hands him the mic as he quietly thanks her before dropping back down to the ringside area.
Michael Barclay: Sam Manson was impressive two weeks ago when he defeated William Diamond in one of the more decisive bouts I have seen thus far in Last Stand Wrestling, one could argue that it was his victory in that match that won the rookie this opportunity.
Sam paces around the ringside area, mic in hand as his music slowly fades out. The fans quiet down in anticipation as Sam raises the mic to his mouth and speaks; his facial expression has changed to one of austerity.
Sam Manson: Last week, I was very vocal and very descriptive in telling the world exactly how I have been so successful thus far when it comes to any form of physical confrontation.
Eric Raper: What is this kid going on about?
Sam Manson: Tonight in the storm title chase, you all, with your recent knowledge of my style will get to witness first hand exactly what I mean when I say that there is no such thing as an upper hand when you’re up against me.
The fans cheer a bit before quieting down; Sam walks up the ring steps and along the ring apron as he continues to speak.
Sam Manson: Some will say that my tactics in revealing everything about my style were short-sighted and foolish; I however believe that it will only improve my chances, as no matter what my opponents do, they will always be expecting to be deceived in one way or another.
Sam steps through the ropes and into the ring as the fans cheer once more. A smile now crosses Sam’s face as he gently closes his eyes, at the moment he looks as friendly as a Saturday morning cartoon character. He speaks again, the tone in his voice has changed just as much as his facial expression has, he now speaks
Sam Manson: And that is exactly when they will be deceived.
The cheers start up again as Sam hands the microphone back to Denika Anderson, he once again thanks her fopr her assistance.
Eric Raper: Well there is Sam Manson already in the ring. He had some strong words for his opponents.
Michael Barclay: He is a focused man because the next bout coming up next is an important one. It is the start of the chase for the Last Stand Wrestling Prodigy championship. Eric run down how this will take place.
Eric Raper: Well Michael here how it goes: starting this week we will start out with six, count 'em, six participants. Every match will be sudden death, one pinfall to the finish. The guy who gets pinned is out of the further competition. Then next week from Utah we will have a match with the remaining 5 with the same sudden death, one pinfall to the finish rule. This whole process will continue until we have the final two at that point those two will square off at Unleashed for the right to become the first ever Prodigy champion of LSW. Back to you Mikey!
MATCH THREE
Sophie Lucas Vs. Dean Hobkirk Vs. Axl Dempsey Vs. Assassin Vs. Cobra Vs. Sam Manson
Six Pack Match
Prodigy Title Chase
Denika Andersen: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish and it is the start of the chase to the LSW Prodigy championship and this is the six-pack challenge match! Two participants will start in the ring with the four remaining standing on the aprong outside. A waiting participant can become legal by either tagging in or when one of the two inside leaves the ring. The match will end when one of the participants is pinned therefore eliminating him or her from further competition.
Eric Raper: She must be tired after saying all of that.
Denika Andersen: Currently in the ring...hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada...The Ace of Deception, Sam Manson!
"My Life for Hire" by a day to remember plays as Dean comes out from behind the curtain.
Denika Andersen: Hailing from Seaham, England...weighing in tonight at 175 pounds...Dean Hobkirk!
Dean comes down the aisle slapping the fans hands. He slides into the ring and goes to the nearest corner and gets the crown pumped.
Michael Barclay: Here is the man who won the first ever main event in LSW history.
Eric Raper: But let's not forget that he also losed his last match. Hell he didn't seem the same Dean Hobbit in the main event he won.
Michael Barclay: Hobbit?
Eric Raper: Oh sorry, I mean Hobgoblin.
Michael Barclay: It's Hobkirk and you wouldn't say that stuff if he could hear you.
"When It's Time To Party
You Know We'll Party Hard!"
The heavy yet melodic "Party Hard" by Andrew WK begins to blast out around the arena as the fans are brought to their feet in cheers. The stage area is a wash with flashing orange and red lights as Axl Dempsey bounces his way out from behind the stage curtain to greet the fans. He stands at the top of the ramp before tugging on the front of his t-shirt 3 times and throwing his arms into the air at the top of the ramp as an extra cheer goes up from the fans. Dempsey looks up around the fans for a moment before beginning to sprint down the ramp, sliding under the bottom rope smoothly into the ring. He quickly pouches to his feet before running to the far turnbuckle and jumping up onto it.
Denika Andersen: Participant number two, he hails from Southhampton, England...weighing in at 232 pounds...Axl Dempsey!
He looks out over the fans, performing his shirt tugs and throws his arms up into the air once more. As the fans continue to cheer, Axl graduates from the second turnbuckle where he is stood - to standing on the top turnbuckle. In a quick and fluid move he throws himself backwards in a moonsault to stand on his feet in the ring, ready to compete.
Eric Raper: That kid needs to calm down a little. How about bring that down from a ten to about a two Axl.
Michael Barclay: I am a little concerned for this kid though. Last week he took a baseball bat shot to the head and the doctors were not comfortable with him wrestling tonight. He is not 100 percent and that could cause him problems in the match.
“Strength in Numbers” by The Music starts to play as Sophie slowly walks out from the back. With her eyes down cast and her shoulders slumped, she makes her way down to the ring with her dark hair almost covering her face.
Denika Andersen: Introducing participant number four...she hails from Rockford, Illinois...weighing in at 140 pounds...Sophie Lucas!
Eric Raper: This sausage fest just turned exciting for me. The attractive half of the Lucas twins is one my picks to go on to the final match at Unleashed.
Michael Barclay: I don't think you think out the stuff you say before it comes out do you?
She climbs up the ring steps and ducks into the ring and just waits in her corner anxiously until the match starts. Then "My Sacrifice" by Creed plays. As the music begins to play throught the pa system in the arena, Cobra emerges from the curtain and begins to make his way down to ringside he stands at the foot of the steps to the ring for a few seconds
Denika Andersen: Participant number five...he hails from Glasgow, Scotland...weighing in at 214 pounds...Cobra!
He begins to proceed with each step his foot hits a pyro explodes at the curtain he came through just a minute ago.
Michael Barclay: This match just keeps getting more and more talented as Denika continues to introduce the competitors.
The opening of "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour comes over the PA and as the song starts Assassin walks through the curtain and out onto the ramp. Assassin stands at the top of the ramp keeping his head covered as he's wearing a ring jacket. Assassin makes his way down the ramp shaking hands with a few of the fans as he walks to the bottom of the ramp.
Denika Andersen: And finally, hailing from Dallas, Texas...weighing in tonight at 265 pounds....Assassin!
Once at the bottom of the ramp Assassin stares at the ring before making his way around the ring shaking hands with more fans before finally rolling into the ring under the bottom rope. Assassin stands up once he's in the ring and walks over towards a nearby corner as he climbs up onto the second rope flipping off the hood of his jacket as he reveals his face to the fans and stands on the corner posing for a moment before climbing off the turnbuckle as he removes his ring jacket and waits for the bell.
Michael Barclay: Obviously the biggest man in this match, Assassin, will have to use that to his advantage as the others will probably use speed to take him down.
Eric Raper: This our first look at Assassin and I don't know how he works in the ring but by looks alone he has got this in the bag.
Referee Roger Humphreys starts directing the wrestlers to where they have to be and the match starts off with Dean Hobkirk and Sophie Lucas. The two circle each other and Dean goes in for a tie-up but Sophie catches him and hits him with a quick hip toss. The two quickly gets to their feet and Sophie then hits him with a dropkick. The two get back up but Sophie takes him down with another dropkick. When Dean gets back to his feet Sophie hits him with a knife-edge chop that could be heard throughout the arena as the the crowd. She continues to hit him with chops until he is backed up on the ropes. Then she whips Dean into the ropes and hits him with a back body drop. While on the ground Sophie begins stomping on Dean until the referee breaks it up. She then lifts Dean and kicks him in the gut. She then hooks him up and hits him with a snap suplex then going for a quick pin.

Dean kicks out. She begins to lift her but Dean rakes her eyes while getting up. He takes advantage of the opening by hitting her with several punches before whipping her into the ropes. He goes for a clothesline when she is coming off of the ropes but instead she reverses and hits him with a float over DDT.
Eric Raper: She is a quick broad Michael. She seems to be one step ahead of Dean every time.
Michael Barclay: Sophie has studied each of her opponents and she knows that Dean is not on his game.
Eric Raper: He hasn't been ready every since week one.
She waits for Dean to get up. Dean gets up using the ropes and props himself up against them. Sophie charges and clotheslines him over the top. This signals for another guy to come in and in comes Assassin.
Eric Raper: Here comes the big man.
Assassin charges in from behind and hits Sophie with a hard double axe handle to the back. He then turns her around and knees her in the gut before whipping her into the ropes. She bounces off the ropes and he goes for a tilt-a-whirl but she reverses out of it and lands on her feet. She then begins hitting Assassin with some stiff kicks to the abdomen and legs. She then backs up a little and charges and hits him with a dropkick to the knees that brings him down to one knee. She then hits him with a running enziguiri. Sophie backs up again while the stunned Assassin gets to his feet but she back up to much and Axl Dempsey is able to tag her to get into the match.
Michael Barclay: Axl slid in a tag to come in for the first time.
Eric Raper: Sophie looks pissed Mikey. She did not like that one bit.
Axl comes in the ring and charges towards Assassin and hits him with a spinning heel kick. Assassin gets to his feet rather quickly but Axl is ready as he begins hitting him with some quick jabs that are annoying Assassin more than hurting. Assassin blocks a punch and tries for a haymaker himself but Axl ducks and his now behind Assassin. Axl then sets up and hits Assassin with a powerful german suplex.
Michael Barclay: That was thunderous. Axl used the weight of Assassin to deliver a very powerful german suplex.
Axl went to the outside and scale the ropes to the top. He then lauched off and hit Assassin with a elbow drop.
Eric Raper: Shades of the madness himself Macho Man.
Axl thinks about going for a pinfall but goes back to the top rope and hits Assassin with another elbow drop. Axl then lifts Assassin and kicks him in the gut. He then hits him with a double arm DDT and goes for a pinfall.

Assassin kicks out. Axl goes back to the outside and begins to go back up top.
Michael Barclay: I think Axl is going to the well one to many times.
Eric Raper: I don't think you should stop doing what works. Assassin is clearly off his game right now.
Axl looks groggy while going up. When going up to the top Axl is tagged on the leg by Sam Manson.
Michael Barclay: I think that was for the best for Axl. I don't think he should be doing stuff like that with the condition he is in tonignt.
Sam runs in while Assassin's back is turned to him and hits him with a spinning elbow to the back of his head. Sam then turns Assassin on his back and brings him up where he is seated on the mat. Sam then gets in front of him and hits him with a stiff kick to chest that sends Assassin back down. Sam then lifts Assassin and whips him into the ropes. While Assassin in going on the ropes, Cobra holds the rope down which causes Assassin to go over the top rope and crashing to the floor. Cobra then hops in and goes after Sam. Sam ducks the charging Cobra. Sam then hits Cobra with a kick to the gut. The Sam bounces himself off the ropes and hits Cobra with a scissor kick to the back of the head. Sam gets to his feet and hits Cobra with a knee drop to the back of his head. Sam gets Cobra to his feet and whips him into the ropes. Sam hits Cobra with a quick powerslam. Sam drags him towards the ropes horizontally and goes to the apron. He then hits Cobra with a springboard legdrop.
Michael Barclay: Pure athleticism from Sam Manson tonight. He is punishing Cobra to get closer to the Prodigy championship.
Sam gets Cobra back to his feet and hits him with a snap suplex. Sam gets him back up and hits him with another snap suplex. Sam does it one more time then floats over and goes for a pinfall.

Cobra kicks out. Sam goes back to the apron and waits for Cobra to get up. Cobra slowly gets to his feet and then Sam springboards himself off the ropes again but this time Sam hits Cobra with a hurricanrana. The momentum of the move rolls Cobra to the outside.
Eric Raper: Sam is just looking great in this match!
Michael Barclay: He is just seizing this moment and not letting anyone take it away from him. Now remember that there is no tag required so another person is allowed to come in.
Sophie comes back in the ring. The two circle each other and goes in for a collar and elbow tie-up. Sam gets Sophie in a headlock and sets its in. Sophie grabs his hair and pushes him off sending him into the ropes. Sam goes off the ropes and hits Sophie with a shoulder block that sends her to the mat. Sam bounces off the ropes again and Sophie rolls to her stomach. Sam jumps over her and goes to the opposite side while she quickly gets to her feet. She then hits Sam with a hip toss. Sam gets up but Sophie hits him with a spinning heel kick. Sam slowly gets to his feet while Sophie is waiting. While his back is turned to her she charges and his him with a bulldog. She then goes for a pin.
...One!
...Two!
Cobra breaks the pin by dragging her off of Sam. While Cobra is getting out of the ring, Sophie get to her feet and dropkicks him to the ground. The attention that Sophie is giving Cobra gives Sam enough time to recollect. Sam gets up and takes advantage of Sophie looking down at Cobra and hits her with a side suplex. Sam then out of the ring and up the top rope where Cobra vacated. He goes for a corkscrew moonsault but Sophie moves out of the way and Sam hits the mat hard. He is thriving in pain and rolls out of the ring.
Michael Barclay: There are those risky manuevers with costly results. Not very good for Mr. Manson.
Axl comes in to take over for Sam. Axl takes Sophie by the hair and hits her with some forearm hits to the face. He then whips her but holds on to her arm and brings her back to him and hits her with a spinebuster. Axl then goes to the outside and heads to the top rope. He tries to go off the rope but Assassin grabs on to his leg. Axl is able to kick him off the apron and to the the ground. He then looks out to the crowd and then back to Assassin. Axl moves a little bit to be positioned to have Assassin in his line of target. He then leaps off the top rope with a flying crossbody to Assassin on the ground.
Eric Raper: Another high risk maneuver and this time it works but Axl Dempsey decided to to go after the legal man or should I say woman.
Michael Barclay: I think that bat knocked some sense out of him. Does he care about what kind of condition that he is in?
Eric Raper: Obviously not. He may be a little groggy in the head but this is for a championship Mikey!
Dean Hobkirk comes back in and lifts Sophie. Dean then backs up and goes for a superkick but Cobra comes in from behind and stops the move. He turns Dean around and kicks him in the gut. Cobra then puts Dean head in between his legs and gets him up for a powerbomb but while up Dean begins hitting Cobra with punches to the head that is sending him towards the ropes. Dean then sends himself and Cobra over the ropes hitting hard on the floor. Meanwhile in the ring. Sam is back in the ring and Sophie is back to her senses. The two begin hitting each other with lefts and rights in order to gain the advantage but then Axl comes into the ring and breaks up the scuffle by hitting the both of them with a clothesline. He waits for Sophie to get up.
Michael Barclay: Chaos is erupting in this six pack challenge match and the referee seems to be losing control.
Eric Raper: I have a feeling that Roger is freaking out inside. I have noticed that he is the only referee signed to this company.
Sophie is on her knees and Axl charges towards her.
Eric Raper: This could be the delivery of his finisher.
Axl goes for the quick kick but Sophie moves out of the way. She quickly gets to her feet but Axl kicks her in the gut. He goes for a suplex but Sophie blocks the move. She goes for a suplex herself but Axl blocks the move. He finally gains the advantage and lifts her but he takes her over the ropes and she lands on the apron. The two are fighting but then suddenly Sam comes from the behind the hits Axl with a knee. The moves causes Axl to bump into Sophie which sends her into the guardrail. Sam turns Axl around is tries to kick him in the abdomen but Axl catches his foot. Sam then gathers some strenght and hits Axl with an enziguri that knocks out Axl sending him out of the ring.
Michael Barclay: That is bad news for Axl because of the head damage that he got during the hardcore match last week.
Eric Raper: Sucks to be that nerd.
Assassin rolls into the ring and waits for Sam to turn around. Sam does but blocks anything Assassin would do and hits him with a European uppercut. Sam tries to whip Assassin and Assassin reverses and whips him into the corner. Assassin charges and goes for a clothesline but Sam moves out of the way. Assassin is turned in the corner. Sam runs towards him and sets up and hits him with the final encounter.
Michael Barclay: There is his finisher!
Eric Raper: And there goes Assassin's grill.
Sam goes for the pin.
...One!
...Two!
...Three!!!
The bell rings as "Are You Ready" plays throughout the arena.
Denika Andersen: Here is your winner...Sam Manson! Therefore, Assassin is eliminated from the chase.
WINNER: Sam Manson
ELIMINATED: Assassin
Eric Raper: What a match to start off the Prodigy championship chase.
Michael Barclay: This match had some guys that gave it their all as the others just were not there one bit and we congratulate Sam Manson for the win in this extremely competitive match.
The camera shows everyone around the ring as Sam rolls out and heads up the ramp.
Michael Barclay: So we can say so long to Assassin as he is no longer part of the chase.
Eric Raper: Pick out the shit, and we should be left with a good match by Unleashed.
Michael Barclay: If you ask me tonight was a good match but the two men who meet at Unleashed for the title will have had to have gone a long way.
Eric Raper: I guess whoever eins it in the end, will truely deserve it.
Michael Barclay: We will have to wait a few more weeks to see who those 2 men are but right now we are "graced" with another insight into the bizarre world of Ravyn Taylor.
We cut away to what’s becoming a familiar static screen that after several seconds slowly fades in to a pre-recorded segment in what’s also becoming a familiar location – a large, windowless room where the camera focuses in on a chain that’s hanging from the wall. The camera focuses in on the chain for a moment before beginning to slowly pan around the room and once more, just like the previous segments of the same nature, we see an unmade bed in the corner but this time on the bed we find dozens and dozens of photographs. The camera slowly moves in toward the bed, scanning over the photographs slowly and revealing them to be of various people from the LSW roster, including the likes of James Gabriel, Ashton Daniels, Blake and Sophie Lucas, Johnny Extreme, Jay Cool, Vincent Demichelis and even the LSW owner Brandon Matthews. In the photographs it’s as though none of the people realise they’re being photographed, most of them seem to be taken from distance although some seem to be from outside hotel rooms through windows or even in the case of one of the photographs of Brandon Matthews he’s actually lying asleep in a bed and the photograph seems to have been taken very early in the morning as there’s a streak of light across his face that seems to be shining through an improperly closed blind. The camera steps back from the collection of photographs even the most hardcore of stalkers would be proud of and pans around the room slowly where we find the same wall as ever with two Polaroid photos hanging from it, both with large red X’s drawn across them, the first of James Gabriel and the second of Ashton Daniels. There’s a loud thudding sound as the door slams shut and the camera pans to reveal Nathaniel Hardcastle sitting by the door, his collar on once again and the chain that leads from it attached to a hook on the wall like he’s been chained there like a puppy while his owner goes in to a store. The camera continues to pan around, stopping abruptly on a very, very large man standing in the corner of the room, a mask covering his face as well but not completely as with Hardcastle, this long black hair hanging down over the mask and his face as he stares at the floor without saying a word. Who is this new individual who looks so very sad? The camera pans back over to the door and we see our host standing in a black leather mini-skirt and knee-high black boots once more, this time with a red and black lacy corset on and with a smile on her face as she reaching out toward a bust of Pallas Athena, goddess of wisdom which sits on a chest of drawers against the wall not far from the photographs. She glares at the statue almost angrily as she begins reciting again, the verse before where she left off the last time...
“This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamp-light gloated o'er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamp-light gloating o'er,
She shall press, ah, nevermore!”
She looks in to the camera and seems to take a deep breath through her nose as though enjoying the smell in the air.
“Then, methought, the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose foot-falls tinkled on the tufted floor.
`Wretch,' I cried, `thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he has sent thee
Respite - respite and nepenthe from thy memories of Lenore!
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe, and forget this lost Lenore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'”
She’s adding extra emotion this time, seemingly devastated as she reads the parts spoken by the character of the poem. Next comes apparently her favourite part of the poem, and she adds extra emotion as she speaks the lines.
“`Prophet!' said I, `thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil! -
Whether tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted -
On this home by horror haunted - tell me truly, I implore -
Is there - is there balm in Gilead? - tell me - tell me, I implore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'”
She throws her hands up toward the statue of Pallas again, speaking to the imaginary raven that would be perched upon it.
“`Prophet!' said I, `thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us - by that God we both adore -
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels named Lenore -
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden, whom the angels named Lenore?'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'”
She breaks down, dropping to her knees as though heartbroken.
“`Be that word our sign of parting, bird or fiend!' I shrieked upstarting -
`Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!
Leave no black plume as a token of that lie thy soul hath spoken!
Leave my loneliness unbroken! - quit the bust above my door!
Take thy beak from out my heart, and take thy form from off my door!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'”
She just sits there on her knees staring at the statue as though she’s lost her mind as she recites the final verse of the classic poem with such emotion in her voice...
“And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted - nevermore!”
She stops for a moment then, lowering her arms in the shadow caused by the statue before turning her head and smiling at the camera, leaping back to her feet and taking a little bow.
Ravyn Taylor: Thank you, I thank you... my performance is concluded for now, but I hope that over the last few weeks that poem has touched all of your hearts just as it once touched mine so long ago. Imagine the mindset of the narrator, a young scholar who’s lost the love of his life and who begs the raven to tell him that he’ll see her again, only to be told that he never will. When the raven denies him he orders it to leave, but it remains forever as a sign of his madness and his grief over his lost love, and his soul disappears in to the abyss as caused by the shadow the raven casts across the floor. Truly an epic piece of poetry...
She walks over to the statue and puts one hand on it smiling.
Ravyn Taylor: So fitting as well for each and every one of you, for you are all searching for something that you will be denied as well. You’re all searching for the lost love, for the adoration of the fans and the respect of your peers but you won’t ever attain that respect because to get it you’d need to accomplish something with your pathetic little mentally inferior lives, and that’s just something that won’t ever happen, isn’t it? Now I know you have many questions about me, some of you have begun to make assumptions as to who I am and what I do and no doubt my plans for tonight have gone exactly as I wanted them to, no doubt by now the announcement has been made that next week you’ll see little old me competing in a qualification match for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Can you imagine it? A one hundred and fifteen pound rookie woman winning the championship belt that is meant to represent the greatest performer in the company! There is no doubt that I am the smartest this company has, I mean just look at the mentally backward competition! Not one of you comes even half way close to matching me on the living chess board that is the mental game, you all think you can move your pieces around but you don’t realise that I’m thinking five moves ahead and I already know exactly how I’m going to put each of you in to check.
She points over at the pictures on the bed.
Ravyn Taylor: You’ll also notice that because I had the week off this week I’ve been doing some research on my potential future opponents, I’ve been following you all and seeing what it is that makes you tick, specifically those who have something that I want. Brandon Matthews has many, many things that I want and I intend for him to give them to me one by one, and he will won’t you Brandon? Tonight you got a taste of what it’s like to be with me and we both know you’d be lying if you said it wasn’t the most fun you’ve had since taking control of this company. There’s plenty more fun to be had as well, don’t you worry about that, but as always I’ll want something from you in return. You may not yet know what it is, and it may not be immediately clear as to why I want the things I want, but eventually like building up a puzzle you’ll begin to see the bigger picture and when you do your world will never quite be the same again.
She smiles as she walks over to her new minion now, stroking his head as he sits there unmoving.
Ravyn Taylor: I’d also like to introduce you to somebody, but not tonight. This is a man you’ll all come to know very well over the coming weeks because just like Nathaniel he serves a purpose in my life and he is very important to me. And just like Nathaniel he’s very so well trained and house-broken as well, but unlike Nathaniel he doesn’t need for me to lead him around, he understands his purpose in the world and he is willing to do as I command without the need for leashes and training. Nathaniel is my innocent little puppy, boisterous and fun to have around but with a habit of misbehaving and not coming when he’s called but this cutey? He’s my loyal old dog, experienced and always obeying my commands.
She wanders away from the as-yet unnamed monster of a man who still hasn’t moved since the recording began and back to the wall, running her fingers along it as she walks back toward the statue...
Ravyn Taylor: How many of you think you understand who I am? How many of you think thought that the first week I showed up on the scene, thought that the reports that the “doctors” of the world gave were accurate and that I was some lost little mental patient crying out for attention and somebody to hold her hand? How many began to doubt that assessment of me the first week, when I revealed I am far, far more than the failed genetic jokes of this world have labelled me! And how many more now think they have a better understanding of me and my pets? You may think you know me but know this – you only know as much as I want you to know. Just because you find out a new fact about me doesn’t mean you understand me any better, it only means you have another piece of the puzzle that is Ravyn Taylor, the dark-souled little demon child from Michigan.
She grins again before taking a deep breath and reaching out toward the statue once again.
She turns to the camera again and waves happily.
Ravyn Taylor: See you soon boys and girls, have pleasant dreams...
She kisses the tips of her fingers and waves with a smile on her face as the camera pans down toward the floor, but unlike normal it doesn’t shut off this time. Whether or not the person operating the camera is aware of this however seems unlikely as the camera begins to move toward the bed again and is placed down on the bed, pointed back toward the statue of Pallas as Ravyn stands admiring it happily. There are footsteps away from the camera now as the person operating it has left it completely alone and is walking toward Ravyn, who turns to face them with a wicked smile on her face. As they step in to the shot however the cameraman is revealed to be a young woman with long black hair dressed in a tight black dress that hugs her curvaceous body. She steps up to Ravyn who takes a step forward and kisses her passionately and the two lock in an embrace that seems to have more emotion in it that anything else Ravyn has done in her time on camera in any segment so far, including toward Brandon Matthews earlier tonight. When she speaks it’s with a soft French accent and a genuine smile on her face as she looks in to Ravyn’s eyes...
Woman: You care so much about that poem?
Ravyn Taylor: What can I say; it changed my life just like you did...
They kiss again as Ravyn looks over to the camera with a cheeky little smile. The woman looks over at it as well, seemingly surprised that it’s still recording.
Woman: Is it still running? I did not mean to...
She moves toward it to shut it off, and the last thing we hear is Ravyn giggling.
Ravyn Taylor: Don’t worry, I did.
And with that the scene cuts to static again as our mystery new woman shuts off the camera and slowly the static fades to black.
Eric Raper: What the fuck? She was shagging Brandon earlier this evening and now she is kissing some other woman.
Michael Barclay: Actually this is pre-recorded so this happened before they slept together...if that is what happened.
Eric Raper: Don't be so niave, of course they fucked. I don't get it!....Is Ravyn gay?
Michael Barclay: Maybe.
Eric Raper: I want to know.
Michael Barclay: Maybe she doesn't know. I wouldn't like to hazzard a guess as to what is going on in her head.
Defiance fades out from the rather crazy female known as Ravyn back to somewhat normal surroundings, mostly recognizable as the backstage area. Standing outside Brandon Matthews’s office is none other than Kerin Atcher who is looking as elegant as ever as she grasps her mic tightly. The look on her face says it all; she appears excited while attempting to listen at whatever could be going on inside the LSW owner’s office.
Kerin Atcher: If you’ve just joined us there was a rumour going around earlier tonight that Lucas Knight was actually in the arena, and I believe he’s in Mr Matthews’s office right now thrashing out his contract in time for the World title qualifier...
The sound of laughter can be heard from the other side of the door, which only gets louder as it now swings open to show Lucas Knight standing there decked out in a smart black on black business suit, a pair of shades resting on the top of his head.
Kerin Atcher: Lucas, Lucas could I possibly get a few words with you?
Knight sighs before motioning for her to follow him.
Lucas Knight: If you must... Walk with me though; I’m a busy man toots.
As the pair walk off, the plucky young reporter begins her job description with astute bluntness.
Kerin Atcher: Do you mind telling us what you were discussing with Brandon Matthews?
Lucas Knight: Business.
Kerin Atcher: What kind of business if you don’t mind me asking?
Lucas Knight: Contract negotiations.
Kerin Atcher: How did they go?
Lucas Knight: Great.
Kerin Atcher: Well then, please allow me to be the first to welcome you to Last Stand Wre....
Lucas Knight sudden stops in his tracks as the pair now reside in the car parking lot, standing next to a large black humvee which sports a blood splatter logo with the text OOC over it in large letters on the doors and the hood. He then turns to look at Kerin with a dumbfounded look.
Lucas Knight: Welcome me? Oh... You think I’ve signed with this company?
Kerin Atcher: Haven’t you?
Knight then starts to laugh somewhat arrogantly before patting a confused Kerin on the shoulder.
Lucas Knight: I wouldn’t be caught dead working the ring here toots. I was here on business, and you’ll all find out why I’m here next week. May I go now?
Kerin Atcher: Su...
Before she could even finish her answer Knight has already entered his car and reved up the engine with a cheeky grin before he drives off leaving Kerin in the parking lot alone.
Kerin Atcher: What an asshole...
Michael Barclay: If Lucas Knight is not going to sign with LSW then why is he here?
Eric Raper: You don't think he is joining the staff or something do you?
Michael Barclay: I don't know. Lucas is a wealthy man and likes to have his fingers in a number of pots.
Eric Raper: I bet he is.
Michael Barclay: This evening certainly is throwing up a lot of questions that need to be answered, but one question that will be answered is who will be the first person to book their place in the main event at Unleashed?
Eric Raper: Vincent Demichelis or Matthew Triggs?
MAIN EVENT
Matthew Triggs Vs. Vincent Demichelis
Normal Rules
World Title Qualifier
Denika Andersen: The following contest is our main event of the evening and it is a qualifying match for a spot in the World Heavyweight title match at Unleashed!
The arena fills with darkness, but red spotlights begins to shine from the stage, into the arena roof, and then around into the crowd as "Shock of the Lightning" plays over the sound system. Appearing at the top of the ramp, a smiling Matthew Triggs stands, holding both of his arms in the air, inviting the crowd to witness his prime physical shape. As he drops his arms, fireworks explode into the roof of the arena, and the lights are raised up.
Denika Andersen: Introducing first, hailing from Manchester, England...weighing in at 229 pounds...Matthew Triggs!
Strobe lights still flash in time to the music as Triggs makes his way down to the ring. He slides under the bottom rope, and climbs onto the turnbuckle - pointing both of his thumbs towards his chest as he does so. He jumps down, and awaits the start of the match.
Michael Barclay: This is a important match for these two competitors. Tonight one of these men will punch their ticket to Unleashed and an opportunity to wrestle in that night's main event to win the world's title.
Strobe lights still flash in time to the music as Triggs makes his way down to the ring. He slides under the bottom rope, and climbs onto the turnbuckle - pointing both of his thumbs towards his chest as he does so. He jumps down, and awaits the start of the match.
Denika Andersen: And his opponent...
As the music strikes the arena stands to it's feet to see Vincent Demichelis stride out with his assured grin, he holds both his arms out aside of him, as his valet and girlfriend Alicia strides out behind him. The boo's ring out as the two confidently strut down the rampway.
Denika Andersen: Being accompanied to the ring by his girlfriend Alicia...he hails from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada...weighing in at 215 pounds...Vincent Demichelis!
Vincent leaps up onto the apron as Alicia makes her way round to the ring steps, he holds the ropes down as she gets into the ring as he follows in with a swing of the legs over the second rope. The two stand in the ring as the boo's continue to rain down. Alicia leaves the ring and the bell rings as the match gets underway, both men immediately lock up as the fans rise to their feet. Both men try to overpower the other, but they appear to be evenly matched as they release one another. They quickly lock up once again, but this time, Matthew Triggs gains the upper hand by applying a headlock on Vincent Demichelis. Matthew falls to the mat and hits a headlock takedown on the debuting wrestler. On the mat, Matthew holds the headlock in as Demichelis stomps on the mat with both feet a few times before rolling backward. In order to keep the headlock locked in, Matthew Triggs is forced to his feet. Vincent Demichelis reaches up and grabs his opponent’s head and drops down to his knees, pulling Triggs over his shoulder, hitting a snapmare. Matthew Triggs ends up in a sitting position in the middle of the ring; Demichelis takes advantage of the situation to kick Triggs in the spine.
Michael Barclay: A great counter by LSW’s newest acquisition.
Eric Raper: The man who, in his debut match gets a qualifier match for the biggest and most important prize in this company. And they say this company’s vision is second to none.
Vincent grabs Triggs and pulls him to his feet; he delivers an elbow to the head of Matthew Triggs, sending him stumbling back into the ropes. Demichelis grabs Triggs by the arms and sends him off the ropes, as he comes back, Vincent goes for a clothesline, but it is ducked and avoided. Triggs keeps running and rebounds off the ropes once more only to run into a knee to the mid-section, he then grabs Triggs and drives him head-first into the canvas with a DDT. Demichelis is quick to his feet as he pulls Matthew Triggs up with him, he grabs him and goes to hit a snap suplex, but Triggs is able to block it by hooking Vincent’s leg with his own. Triggs knees Demichelis in the stomach causing him to double over in pain, this gives Triggs the opportunity to grab Demichelis and hit a snap suplex of his own.
Michael Barclay: Matthew Triggs comes back with a quick snap suplex. Both Triggs and Demichelis recover quickly, but Triggs is quicker to the draw as he throws a quick punch which connects with Vincent Demichelis’ head. Triggs grabs Demichelis by the arm and hits a Japanese arm drag, Demichelis simply rolls out of the move and returns to his feet quickly, he takes a stride forward and hits Matthew Triggs with a hard clothesline. While Triggs is down, Demichelis jumps up into the air and lands with one knee being driven into his opponent’s head. As he does this, a small “difference” chant can be heard from the ringside section behind the commentators.
Eric Raper: HAHAHAHA these fans don’t even know how to chant properly.
While holding his hand over his forehead, Matthew Triggs rolls over and pushes himself to his feet, once he’s up, Demichelis goes right back to the attack, he knees Triggs in the stomach and Irish whips him into the corner. Demichelis walks toward the corner where his opponent is and goes to grab a hold of him; Triggs however lifts his arm and hits Demichelis with a European uppercut. Demichelis holds his jaw in pain as Triggs grabs him; he steps out of the corner and forces Demichelis into the corner. Matthew Triggs unloads with a series of knife-edged chops across the chest of his opponent as the fans cheer on every bit of it. Triggs pauses for a moment before pulling his arm back and hitting the biggest chop yet, the sound of his hand hitting Demichelis’ chest echoes through the arena as Demichelis staggers out of the corner, holding his chest in pain. As Demichelis walks past him, Triggs climbs up to the second turnbuckle. Demichelis turns around to see Triggs, but he doesn’t have time to avoid the missile dropkick from Matthew Triggs. The impact of the move sends Demichelis across the ring, landing on his back.
Michael Barclay: Matthew Triggs is showing the world why he belongs in this match.
Eric Raper: What have either of these men done thus far to prove why they belong here?
A cocky Matthew Triggs stands up and takes in the cheers and chants for his name before moving over to where Demichelis landed. He reaches down and pulls his opponent to his feet, he poses for the cheering fans before setting up for the Triggs End, the fans’ cheers grow louder as Triggs is about to lift Demichelis up, however it doesn’t work out that way as Demichelis elbows Triggs in the side of the head three times, forcing him to release him. Triggs holds the side of his head in pain as Demichelis quickly kicks him in the knee, sending him down to his one good knee. Demichelis backs up into the ropes, running off of them; he jumps and hits an enziguri sending Triggs down to his back. Demichelis, in perfect position simply crawls over Triggs for the pin attempt.
…ON...
Matthew Triggs kicks out before even a one count; Vincent Demichelis looks mildly shocked as he stands up. Triggs follows suit as he also returns to a vertical base, still a bit phased from getting kicked in the head, he staggers around a bit, Demichelis grabs him and sends him off the ropes, Demichelis bends over and readies himself to deliver a backdrop to Matthew Triggs, Triggs however sees this coming and stops in his tracks in front of Demichelis and kicks him in the chest. Demichelis holds his chest in pain as he backs up into the ropes. Matthew Triggs runs straight at Demichelis and hits a suicide clothesline, causing both men to wind up on the floor at ringside.
Michael Barclay: Both men have fallen from the ring and have landed here in front of us on the hard concrete floor.
Eric Raper: Is that so. Michael, well thank you for stating the obvious you moron.

The referee begins the count as both men return to their feet at ringside.

THREE...
Matthew elbows Demichelis in the head before kneeing him in the stomach.
FOUR...
He sets Demichelis up for what looks like a powerbomb as the fans rise to their feet.
Michael Barclay: This could cripple Vincent Demichelis.
Eric Raper: Hey that’s true… GO FOR IT TRIGGS!!!
FIVE...
Triggs tries to lift Demichelis but Demichelis resists and reverses the move into a quick backdrop on Matthew Trigs.
SIX...
Triggs hits the crowd barrier back-first and tumbles into the crowd, the overzealous fans begin cheering and patting a motionless Matthew Triggs on the back.

Vincent Demichelis, now on one knee after hitting the move takes some time to catch his breath before rolling back into the ring, leaving Matthew Triggs on the outside of the ring to face the remainder of the ten-count.
EIGHT...
Matthew Triggs is just beginning to stir now as inside the ring, Vincent Demichelis looks out to the area of the crowd that Triggs landed in.
NINE...
Triggs still has yet to return to his feet, it looks impossible at this point that Triggs will return to the ring, this is when Vincent Demichelis rolls under the bottom rope, forcing the ten-count to be restarted.
Michael Barclay: Interesting, Vincent Demichelis could’ve just won the match via count out, but I don’t think that’s the way he wants to win this high-profile match.
Eric Raper: We call people like him idiots; he could’ve had a shot at the LSW Heavyweight Championship, and he goes and pulls a stupid move like that.
ONE...
Demichelis, now on the outside once again walks over to the crowd barrier that Matthew Triggs fell over.
TWO...
We swings one leg over the barrier, but before he can get the other leg over, he is hit with a forearm shot to the head.
THREE...
Demichelis falls off of the crowd barrier and down to the concrete floor at ringside, standing in the crowd is Matthew Triggs who must’ve made a recovery while Demichelis was on his way over.
FOUR...
Triggs climbs over the crowd barrier, favour his back which obviously took some damage from landing on the barrier, he grabs Demichelis and pulls him to his feet.
FIVE...
Once he has Demichelis up, he drive his shoulder into his gut and drives him back-first into the side of the ring, Demichelis screams out in pain as Triggs backs up.
SIX...
Triggs runs forward and clotheslines Demichelis, who is already against the side of the ring, the force of the move lifts Demichelis’ feet off the floor, Triggs is quick to capitalize, grabbing Demichelis by the legs and lifting him up, he rolls him under the bottom rope and into the ring.
SEVEN...
Matthew Triggs follows Vincent Demichelis into the ring finally bringing an end to the count.
Michael Barclay: and at last, both men are back in the ring. Matthew Triggs is on his feet, stalking the recovering Vincent Demichelis, Matthew positions himself behind Demichelis, as Demichelis return to his feet; Matthew Triggs grabs him and hits a German suplex. He keeps a hold of Demichelis and return to his feet, lifting him up and hitting a second German suplex, Triggs once again returns to his feet and goes for a third and final release German suplex. This time however, as Triggs releases, Demichelis reverses the move by over-rotating and landing on his feet on the ring apron, he uses the top rope to prevent himself from falling back to the floor.
Eric Raper: What an reversal!
The fans are on edge as Matthew Triggs turns around, once he does, Vincent Demichelis launches himself over the top rope, connecting with a dropkick to Triggs’ chest. Triggs falls to his back as Demichelis ends up on his stomach, both in the middle of the ring.
Michael Barclay: What a reversal there by Vincent Demichelis, this could spell the end for Matthew Triggs.
Eric Raper: Do you ever shut up?
The referee looks at the two downed men before starting a ten count.
ONE...
It’s obvious that both men are exhausted as neither of them have moved an inch.
TWO...
Vincent Demichelis begins moving as he starts crawling toward the ropes.

Vincent Demichelis grabs onto the middle rope and uses it to pull himself up to his knees.
FIVE...
Matthew Triggs has pushed himself up to all fours.
SIX...
Vincent Demichelis pulls himself right up to his feet as some cheers are heard from the capacity crowd, the referee stops the count as Vincent Demichelis stumbles into the corner.
Michael Barclay: This is another moment in this contest that it seemed as though this match would end in a draw Eric.
Eric Raper: Vincent and Matthew are beating the hell out of each other. This is how important it is for these two to be on top of the LSW ladder.
Matthew Triggs pushes himself right up to his feet as the majority of the fans cheer for his recovery.
Michael Barclay: These two men are putting everything on the line here tonight, it just goes to show how important being LSW champion is to them.
Vincent Demichelis walks slowly out of the corner and moves in on Matthew Triggs, who is still favouring his back. Demichelis, behind Triggs grabs him by the shoulder and spin him around, as Triggs sees Demichelis he punches him in the face, spinning him around, he grabs him and hits a SPINNING IMPALER as the fans erupt.
Eric Raper: IT’S OVER!!!
Michael Barclay: Matthew Triggs just hit the Spinning Impaler, this could very well be the end of Vincent Demichelis debut match.
Eric Raper: Thanks for coming Vince.
As quickly as he can, Matthew Triggs climbs on top of Vincent Demichelis as the referee counts.
…ONE!
…TWO!
…THR…
The referee stops the count when he sees that Vincent Demichelis has managed to place his foot on the bottom rope. Matthew Trigs pushes himself up to his knees and is in disbelief and he slams his fists down on the mat.
Michael Barclay: This match continues as Vincent Demichelis, showing great ring presence managed to get his foot on the bottom rope to keep this match going.
Matthew Triggs stands up and grabs Vincent Demichelis by the arm and drags him to the middle of the ring, he drops down and goes for a second pin attempt.
…ONE!
…TWO!
…TH…
Vincent Demichelis, who has had ample time to recover kicks out, leaving Matthew Triggs looking even more disillusioned.
Michael Barclay: Vincent Demichelis refuses to lose this match.
Eric Raper: Maybe Matthew Triggs is just an idiot.
Matthew Triggs has just about reached wit’s end as he stands up and pulls Vincent Demichelis to his feet, he grabs Demichelis and goes for another SPINNING IMPALER but just as he’s about to drop him, Demichelis slips out of it. Matthew Triggs spins around quickly to face Demichelis who bends over and grabs Triggs’ legs, tripping him and keeping hold of his legs. He steps through Triggs’ legs and proceeds forward with locking in the DIFFERENCE MAKER!!!
Michael Barclay: Vincent Demichelis calls this move the difference maker, it is a modified Texas Cloverleaf, and as you can see, this move is clearly a damaging one.
Matthew Triggs screams out in agony as most of the fans cheer him on. The pain is clearly excruciating as Trigs continuously bashes the mat with a closed fist. Slowly, Matthew Triggs begins crawling toward the ropes. Vincent Demichelis is constantly tightening the hold as Matthew Triggs winces while pulling himself toward the bottom rope which is just about two feet away. He continues to scream in agony as he pulls himself closer to the ropes. At this point he is just able to graze the ropes with his finger as he uses what’s left in him to lift his body up and slump his arm over the bottom rope.
Michael Barclay: Now Matthew Triggs has gotten to the rope, this match continues!
The referee begins counting for Demichelis to break the hold.
ONE...
TWO...
THREE...
FOUR...
Instead of releasing the hold, Demichelis takes a few steps toward the middle of the ring, pulling Matthew Triggs away from the ropes. Triggs is once again in a tough position as he continues to scream in pain. Eventually, Matthew Triggs’ body falls limp to the mat as he subtly taps out. The referee calls for the bell as Vincent Demichelis releases the hold and falls forward to his stomach. The referee calls for the bell.
Denika Andersen: Here is your winner by submission...Vincent Demichelis!
WINNER: Vincent Demichelis
Michael Barclay: Vincent is the first man in the main event for Unleashed for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Eric Raper: These two gentlemen gave all of us a highly competitive match and I applaud both of them but more for Vincent who moves on.
With the bell rung and Vincent Demichelis defending his ‘poster boy’ image that he proclaimed just a week ago, the Difference has decided to take a moment to address the LSW fans. With Alicia by his side, as deviously happy as ever, he holds a microphone in his hand.
Vincent Demichelis: First of all, Triggs...thanks for a good match, unlucky buddy. And second of all, thank you to those of you that cheered and yelled...and yeah you...
Vincent points at a girl in the front row of the crowd.
Vincent Demichelis: ...screaming...I heard you...every move we did...it’s what makes this business worthwhile...and it was starting last week I realised that. You all know the commitment, the promise and the heart I now have for LSW, for you people, and for this company to be the best it can be. This was just the first step for me, for you, and for all of us to prove that. I am going to do everything in my power to get to the top of this company, and I mean everything! I know, I just know that some of you...you don’t trust me, believe me, or want to believe me...and that is fine. Before I’ve used a different set of tactics, a underhanded set that in the end still didn’t end up in a positive outcome...so...learn by the lessons that life serves you. That’s what I plan to do, and last week I through away to you all the one thing I’d been after for the last few months, every waking moment seemingly devoted to it...and I threw it all away, for a chance at getting to the top of this mountain! The LSW mountain!
Vincent pulls the microphone down as the crowd continues to provide ripples of positivity towards him. The crowd seem to be growing in favour of the ‘Poster Boy’.
Vincent Demichelis: It’s going to be tough, it’s going to be a gruelling slog to get there, to be that Champion eventually...but with you guys at last in my corner, the buzz that gives me...the electricity that can roll through the arenas, the gyms, the halls, wherever we are...it can give you that little extra. And let’s be honest...I already have that little bit extra...that little...Difference.
Vincent winks as the camera zooms in, he drops the mic and with a raise of arms from both Vincent and Alicia, the crowd slowly gets behind him.
Michael Barclay: Vincent Demichelis knows it won't be easy but he is well on his way towards the LSW World Title as he has just booked the first match in the match to crown the first Champion.
Eric Raper: And if Ravyn will get her chance next week.
Michael Barclay: We still don't know who exactly she will face but she will definately get her chance next week after what happened with Brandon earlier this evening...but was that just for the title?
Eric Raper: I think it was more for my boy Brandz, he is a good looking chap.
Michael Barclay: You saying why Ravyn wants him, or why you do?
Eric Raper: You want to take this outside?
Michael Barclay: Why? Want to get me all alone?
Eric Raper: You wish.
Michael Barclay: Take care folks, we will be coming to you from the Dee Events Center in Ogden where we hope to find you either at the arena...or tuning in at home.
Eric Raper: You better be there.
Michael Barclay: Goodnight all.
The camera pans away from the commentary desk and past the cheers fans as "sound of Madness" plays out, the video screen plays the Defiance video as the camera comes to rest upon it.
