Why is J Hearst Here?
What is J Hearst doing on the premises of Last Stand Wrestling? That is the question upon many peoples lips at this moment. The former executive of past companies was seen in the offices of LSW in San Diego on Thursday. While LSW.com tried to get some words from him, J declined to say anything as he walked past anyone to tried to interogate him. However, LSW.com, has received word that LSW and J Hearst is finalizing some kind of a deal that will bring him to this company, the role he is to play is yet unknown. In the past J Hearst was a general manager as well as head of talent personnel. He was head of a promising company until internal problems forced the company to close down. Since then he has not been around the wrestling scene. J Hearst and his wife, Brooke, has two daughters and spends their time in between homes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Stillwater, Oklahoma. LSW.com did receive some words from LSW owner, Brandon Matthews.

"All details upon Mr Hearst being here will be revelled in due course. I will not be commenting further until I am certain of all the details involved."

We will release more information as it becomes available.

Touring System Halted
Last Stand Wrestling and Brandon Matthews today announced news that signals the end of LSW's touring schedule. Before now LSW had begun to work its way across the USA - starting southern states from West to East, before panning to go back across the Northern and Central states. It has been confirmed that as of the next Defiance, which will be held on 14th August, Last Stand Wrestling will have its pilot show filmed in a fixed location near to LSW Headquaters in San Diego, Californina. The location that has been selected is the twelve thousand seater S.D. Sprts Arena.

There has been much speculation during the last week, when rumours of this news began to surface, as to why these steps have been taken. Owner Brandon Matthews has seen fit to put pay to those rumours today which a short statement that was reeased early this morning.

"During this week I have been asked many things, up to and incuding asking if LSW moving to a fixed location is proof that we are suffering this the economical climate. Asking if it is only a matter of weeks before we are forced to shut up shop. Well let me assure you, that this is far from the case. There is no denying that this is partly a cost cutting measure - however where are cutting in trave costs we are hoping to spend that money elsewhere in terms of the production value. The money will not be leaving the company and I will continue to invest in the areas that we see fit.

It is the hope of the management and myself that this move will help to improve LSW's standing amongst our competitors as we look to the build upon the fine work we have done so far, wrestlers and staff alike - however it was clear that change was needed to help this succeed, the fixed location in S.D. is the first of many."

Brandon Matthews refused to comment on any other changes that maybe coming, saying that anyone wishing to know should make sure they keep their eyes peeled.

Locker Room Scared?
Sources in the locker room have spoken to the effect as to suggest that a number of superstars are currently worried about who they maybe booked against next. The man they are said to fear is the current Hardcore Champion, DBR Scott Carr. In recent weeks Carr has become increasingly violent and aggressive, illustrated in the last Defiance show where he destroyed Aurora Starr upon her Last Stand Wrestling debut - since which she has not been seen or heard from. Some sources that Scott Carr's ability to dominate and withstand such vile aggression may have a negative effort on the roster, and possibily refuse to sign with company with fear of having to face him. No supertar, nor Carr himself, have been avaliable for comment at this moment in time but we will definately be following this up.

Tj Codair Fined
Last Stand Wrestling has today confirmed that, due to his actions at the past Defiance, Tj Codair has been received a fine from the company. The action in question happened when Codair confronted members of the Students Against Animal Cruelty on 24th August. Tj Codair has been fined $10,000 which is set to be handed to Ms. Abby Stockton, the lady who he deliver The Final Heaven to. In addition, a further $5,000 has been added to ensure the coverage of Ms. Stockton's medical expenses. Codair will also have to pay $5,000 dollars in disciplinary actions. Upon questioning Codair just gave a grin, and wrote the cheque to Brandon Matthews as the LSW owner stepped forward to take care of the situation. Ms. Stockton has also requested a formal appology from Tj Codair this week at Defiance in San Diego, where she will be in attendence as a guest of the LSW.

Lance Peterson Signs
Last Stand Wrestling have issued a statement to announce that LSW has decided to move to a fixed location in a restructure of their production plans. Before now LSW had toured from state to state but sources claim that has become a strain upon the budget and Brandon Matthews has taken the step, with his advisors, to pick a location close to the the LSW head offices in San Diego, California. The twelve thousand seater San Diego Sports Arena has been chosen, and from now on all Defiance shows will air from this location. It has also been deicided that every 6 weeks Last Stand Wrestling will hold a SuperCard. It is not yet known if this will air from the same Dan Diego location or whether they will continue to tour states with their larger shows. Also unconfirmed is if the show will have a fixed name, or whether this will change from month to month as the Pay-Per-View would tend to.

That aside, the show itself provided a burst of action despite being a card of only 3 matches. Sam Manson Injuried?
Rumours are rife that Sam Manson's injury, suffered at the hands of Sean Nosawa before he himself was taken out, may prevent him from defending his LSW Prodigy Title at Nemesis. It was largely expected that Manson would defend against Matthew Triggs before Triggs was released and that position is set to be filled by Axl Dempsey or Anton Steele (if we are to believe gossip). However, it is now thought that Manson's injury is more serious than presviously thought and that wrestling at Nemesis could be too much to ask of the youngster. It is not yet known if any of this true and no offical word has been leaked from managemet as of yet.

Aaron Rodgers Released
Last Stand Wrestling today has released a statement announcing that Aaron Rodgers has been released from the company. Enter The Wolverine
Brandon Matthews claimed what he stated to be his personal proudest signing so far in management career as Tj Codair agreed to sign with Last Stand Wrestling during this weeks Defiance. Codair was seen earlier in the show to attack Ronnie McNeil who will get his chance for revenge as the two go head to head with each other this coming week. Many stories have flown around since last nights airing of the show, with many comments refering to the his reputation for drunken foul mouth onslaughts and frank and often abusive views upon the roster. Many people are wondering what effect this signing will have on a locker room already filled with explosive characters.

Demichelis' Attack
Vincent Demichelis continued to impliment his regime of "Change" upon the roster of Last Stand Wrestling last week as he attacked Aaron Rodgers, the man hotly tipped to be the next in line for a World Title shot, after his match with Ronnie McNeil. The match had finished in a no contest after both men were count out, and Vincent took the opportunity to savagely beat both men, handcuffing them together before delivering a double DDT upon chairs. There has been to be any comments from LSW officals as to whether Vincent will suffer any reprimand for his actions.

Prodigy #1 Contenders
The pathway to Nemesis continues, and the plot thickens surrounding the #1 contendership for the Prodigy Title. Matthew Triggs won the honour at Unleashed, however since then there have been murmurs in the back claiming that they are more deserving of this opporunity. One of the men thought to be behind this wave of unrest is Axl Dempsey, the man who lost to the now Prodigy Champion Sam Manson at Unleashed. Once again, no offical word has been delivered from LSW but it is the feeling that there could be some action taken this coming week on Defiance.

A Bit More Insight
Every week something happens at Monday Night Defiance that has the fans talking the next morning and the internet abuzz, but last week the biggest controversies of all were caused not in the ring but out of it by a competitor that wasn’t even booked to compete. Nineteen year old rookie Alexis “Ravyn” Taylor was the talk of all the gossip columns on Tuesday morning after not one but two controversial moments on Monday night that has the fans buzzing. It’s taken a few days to finally get comments out of the LSW backroom staff as it seems originally LSW owner Brandon Matthews elected simply not to discuss what had happened, but with the rumours around the internet gaining momentum since Taylor’s latest open letter addressed to all of LSW where it was implied that the young woman had slept with her boss solely to get ahead in the company it seems that Matthews may have finally broken his silence.

“First of all I want to explain something about the misunderstanding between myself and my backstage staff at the show,” Matthews explained to our reporter earlier today. “She got the impression from speaking to me that Johnny Extreme was to be put in a qualifying match for the World Heavyweight Championship this week on Defiance only for me to change my mind at the last minute but I assure you that that was simply not the case. It was an executive decision made by more than just me to remove Johnny Extreme from the match, and the fact that Ravyn was found in my office had nothing at all to do with the decision in the slightest. She was chosen because of her impeccable record so far in the company, being one of few stars who have managed two wins from two matches so far in the company. It was decided that she had earned the chance to at least attempt to make that three from three, and the match was changed before I even laid eyes on her on Monday night.”

He refused to comment on her implications that they were involved in a sexual affair however, despite overwhelming evidence to support this. As if that wasn’t bad enough however and as if she hadn’t gathered enough attention on to her by being caught with nothing but a large t-shirt on that luckily for the television censors but unluckily for the fans was long to come down past her waist, she also had apparently submitted a pre-recorded segment to the show in line with other segments she has had aired previously in which she was see kissing another woman. The woman has now been identified as Adalene Ayache, an Australian woman of French descent who was identified by her ex-husband after he saw the broadcast. Apparently she divorced him several years ago citing irreconcilable differences and he was under the impression at the time that she had only married him to gain US citizenship and was in fact attracted to women and not men.

Unfortunately Brandon Matthews wouldn’t speculate on Alexis’s claims that she had begun a relationship with Ms Ayache, and neither Alexis Taylor or Adalene Ayache have yet been found for comment, although unofficial sources have said that Alexis, who prefers the name Ravyn, has found the whole situation “hilarious”. As always when more information is revealed we’ll bring it to you here firs.

What's Knight Doing?
With the buzz surrounding what exactly Lucas Knight was discussing with Brandon Davis last week on Defiance still fresh in everyone’s minds, many only see it as him trying to build up his ego before spilling the truth that he will indeed compete in LSW. All the while others are looking at the idea that he has purchased shares in the company. Which leaves a new question for the LSW owner, If Matthews has indeed sold shares to Lucas Knight, is his kind of publicity going to be worth it? For those who are unfamiliar of the name, Lucas Knight is world renowned for being one of the most hated men in this business along with his mentor Pete Ebdon and current tag partner Nicholas Jaxx and where ever one of them goes, trouble is never that far behind.

A Great Start
Last Stand Wrestling was doubted by many critics when it openned its doors. The vast majority conjoined in the belief that Brandon Matthews' organisation would struggle in the competitive wrestling industry and that the fact he was an unknown entity in the World of management was thought would hamper his chances of signing a start roster. At this point many of those critics are having to change their views as no fewer than 16 workers are now gracing the roster, before the first show has even hit the air. The fact that so many have taken the time to see the potential Last Stand Wrestling has surely has to be an insight into the way that the man on the top is running things. Brandon Matthews was always known in the ring for being a risk taker and someone who provided great entertainment for the fans - judging from the number of high-flyer on the roster, could it be has he as a similar vision in mind for LSW? No one knows quite what the future will hold for Last Stand Wrestling, but the start it has made so far is a promisinig sign of things to come.

The latest additions to the roster are Ashton Daniels and the Lucas twins. Blake and Sophie Lucas are young sibling who grew up in Illinois where Blake got involved with the school wrestling team. He is an outgoing person and is sure to bring more of what Brandon Matthews wants in LSW, and supported by his sister Sophie he could soon have all the knowledge needed to succeed. Ashton Daniels was a man who originally signed on as a member of staff with LSW, but after a conversation with Brandon Matthews his name appeared on the wrestling roster last night. No one is quite sure why the switch came, but Daniels is thought to be a lot more at home on the active roster and Matthews hopes he will flourish there.

Multi-Tasking
The moment that the first Last Stand Wrestling confirmed its date at the Selland Arena many people thought that the issue of recruiting may take a back seat. The concern was raised that if Brandon Matthews and his staff are trying to put together a show that can blow the fans away - who will be making sure LSW can grow as a company in that time. Today we have an answer to that as the LSW owner confirmed that there are no fewer than 4 new members of the roster that have joined over the weekend. Sources have confirmed that, as well as Brandon Matthews charging around his office and the backstage of the Selland Arena (to make sure everything is right) he has also been keeping to a very tight schedule that is based around the interviewing of potential new LSW members. The good news is that people are obviously passing the bar in Matthews eyes as he this morning announced that Cobra, Matthew Triggs, Slade Craven and Assassin have put pen to paper on their Last Stand Wrestling contracts.

Cobra was the first of the 4 named above to join, and while not a lot is known about the 22 Year old from Glasgow, Scotland, he adds to the number of young and ambitious men that Last Stand Wrestling currently has on the roster. Matthews Triggs on the other hand is a man that a bit more is known about. Having wrestled in a couple of other promotions before, Triggs' has become famed for his efficiency in the ring, and precise style, which has gained admiration amongst the more traditional wrestling fans. Brandon Matthews is hoping that this will help bring in the traditional fans as LSW boasts a number of high flying wrestlers on the rnaks already.

The final 2 signings of the weekend are the team od Slade Craven and Assassin who ar the first offical Tag Team to take their place on the roster. Though the offical combined name of the team has not been announced, the name AKA seems to hang with them at the moment although the meaning of this is not yet known. Brandon Matthews is said to be very exzcited about having the first tag tem on the roster, hoping that it will in turn draw more people in with an idea of a Tag Division in the back of his mind.

Unwanted Attention
Last Stand Wrestling got its first major national media coverage today, but for all the wrong reasons. Reports have spread out across the country that one of the first eight employees hired by Brandon Matthews is Alexis Louise Taylor, a woman who has spent the majority of her young life in a mental institution in Detroit, Michigan after being involved in the suicides of her older brother Matthew and his ex-girlfriend Charlotte Waterhouse back in April 1998.

The parents of Charlotte Waterhouse have apparently begun asking for an enquiry as to how a girl they've described as 'violent and dangerous sociopath' could have been declared mentally stable and allowed out amongst the general population without any form of supervision. Her doctor, Nathan Webb, was unavailable for comment but authorities have confirmed that they believe Alexis is of no threat to anybody and that she's learned to deal with the issues of eleven years ago. They were also quick to stress that no legal charges were ever raised against Alexis, who was committed to the institute in Detroit by her parents in early May 1998.

Alexis, now calling herself 'Ravyn' reportedly inspired by the poem 'The Raven' by Edgar Allan Poe, was hired by Last Stand Wrestling on May 20th, however at the time LSW owner Brandon Matthews was unaware of her rather unique history. "I see no problem with the situation," he told reporters earlier today. "I've spoken with Alexis a few times since she signed up, and she's as confused about all the attention that has come about in the last day as the rest of us are. All she wants," he continued, "is a chance to get on with her life and earn a living."

Described by her doctors as having an intellect that is nearly unparalleled across the globe, Alexis Taylor's medical history indicates that she has been diagnosed by multiple doctors as having anti-social behavioural disorder and a complete inability to care about the needs of others or the laws that govern the world around her. Whatever happens in the next few days Brandon Matthews has confirmed that as far as he and the rest of the staff at Last Stand Wrestling are concerned Alexis will make her debut on Monday, June 1st on the first episode of LSW's weekly Defiance show, taking on James Gabriel.

We’ll keep you up to date with more information on this story as it continues.

Frictions Backstage Already
Sources in the backstage area have leaked information that leads us to believe that although the first show does not yet have a card book, things are not all sweet between all the superstars on the roster. The current employee's got together this mornining for a training session with LSW owner Brandon Matthews who wanted to make sure that everyone is staying sharp ahead of the big event. All was well within the training session but words were exchanged between William Diamond and LSW's newest signing Dean Hobkirk as the two queued for the buffet Matthews had laid on - after training. Diamond is said to have taken offence to Hobkirk taking 2 burgers which only left him with 1. Those these rumours are not confirmed, we are told that this led to Diamond shoving the extra burger into the face of Hobkirk. Rightfully, Hobkirk is said to have returned with a right hook that sent Diamond sprawling onto the buffet table before trainers and other wrestlers stepped in to seperate them.
