Name: Brandon Matthews
History: Brandon Matthews never had any ambitions of being the owner of a federation, his dream was to be World Champion. Years of training from a young age has brought him to the peak of his physical condition. With high flying and atheletic moves he wowed crowded where-ever he performed. That was until a botched move landed him in hospital for 6 months with a broken neck. Months upon months of rehab then followed until Brandon was able to walk around and function as normal, however he was warned against ever returning to the ring. This broke Brandon. His father couldn't bare to see his son so down, and vowed to do something to make him better and to keep him in wrestling. Using a small fraction of the millions at his disposal Brandon's father granted him the money to open a federation of his owner that he could rule over to provide the type of entertainment he used to provide whilst he was in the ring - Last Stand Wrestling was born.
Name: Xavier Hughes
History: Xavier Hughes was never really into the concept of wrestling while he was growing up, but he was into his sports. His dream was to become an anchor on ESPN and be given the opportunity to call Monday Night Football. He took a great stride towards that dream after attending the University of North Carolina, in Chapel Hill, where he majored in and received his bachelor's degree in broadcasting. It would seem that would set him on his path towards his goal of ESPN stardom, but that was before the intervention of his college room mate who was into wrestling and in a big way. After much nagging and encouragement Xavier agreed to go to a show with him in Greensboro. It was that night that Xavier Hughes came face to face with Ric Flair and from that day his new dream was to be involved in wrestling. This desire was so great that he even began to help his room mate in his training. Xavier has never been involved with in-ring action but has done backstage work and been involved in the creative side, previous being the Head of Personel in another organisation. It is here in Last Stand Wrestling that Xavier Hughes is really looking to make his mark on the wrestling world in his role as Co-Head of Creativity.

LSW Production Team None of these characters are controlled by any one person in LSW and are only used for Shows and News Reports. Name: Michael Barclay
History: Michael Barclays has a lot more experience that his commentary partner after years passing judgement on sports ranging from baseball to soccer. After a couple of stand-in roles with various indy feds Barclay has decided to try and give the big time a go with LSW.
Name: Eric Raper
History: Eric grew up as a school friend of LSW owner Brandon Matthews and though he never entered the ring himself he found great reviews passing comments on the sidelines. These led to Matthews calling on Raper with the offer of the colour commentary role within LSW, albeit on a temporary basis to see whether the loud mouth Londoner can state a claim for the full time slot.
Name: Kerin Atcher
History: The young beauty that will be walking the backstage corridors of LSW has no previous experience in any role apart from doing her best to look pretty. With aspirations of getting in television she see's conducting the backstage interviews as a possible stepping stone to bigger things.
Name: Mark Capener
History: Mark is no stranger from television as he recently worked for a local television network affiliate in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. He comes to LSW to share interviewing responsiblities with current backstage personality, Kerin Atcher. Mark is excited to join LSW as it is his very first time do anything involving professional wrestling and is looking forward to contributing to the company.
Name: Denika Anderson
History: Denika will be one of the main voices of the LSW franchise. She will be taking the role of the ring announcer for every Monday night Defiance shows as well as LSW's pay-per-views. She has plenty of experience as she was the public address announcer for her local hockey team in her hometown of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. This beauty will be an intregal part of the LSW experience as she will be announcing every match from the opener to the sure to be classic main events. LSW Referees Name: Roger Humphries
Notes: Although not as quick as those his junior, Roger Humphreys more than makes up for that in his experience and ability to let the match flow. He is known for letting the rules be bent and isn't afraid to step in when he thinks things have gone far enough. His ages and slower speed does mean that he will often miss things though.
Name: Nick Greene
Notes: Nick Greene is a specialist on keeping track of the action when there are a number of competitors involved. Nick started lift calling tag team matches but found his true calling when officating over mass brawls and battle royal events. He has no preference on wrestling styles and calls things as he seems them.
Name: Rick Martinez
Notes: Martinez is a young ref who likes to let the action flow. He is very cocky and sure within himself and this often leads to arguements with wrestlers. Very rarely will he call a disqualification unless it is an attack on him as he is a fan of violence.
Name: Steve Posey
Notes: Posey is known for calling matches straight down the middle. He does not let the rules be bent in any way, shape or form. A fan of technical and straight wrestling matches, Posey is often intimidated by larger wrestlers. Posey never misses anything in the ring, but does not always wish to implement his authority in fear of reprimand from the wrestlers.
Name: Bill Young
Notes: Bill Young makes sure the action always stays under control and will often step in to manhandle wrestlers if they are not doing as he wishes. Only injuries stopped this man from competing in the ring himself and he is out to make sure people know he is not a push over like many others in his position. |
